GIRO serves important clients in the garment industry in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Netherlands.
Nominated carrier for the following UK retailers: Debenhams, Marks & Spencer, New Look and Reiss.
HEADQUARTERS:
Current headquarters are located in Vintu de Jos, near Alba Iulia, 2 kilometers away from the future Bucharest-Nadlac highway (Pan European 4 Corridor).
The location comprises of offices, a 20,000 sqm parking for our own trucks, repairs shop and truck car-wash, two warehouses for hanging garments and general cargo in a 4,700 sqm area. Premises secured with video surveillance systems (CCTV).
FLEET:
We provide 65 trailers equipped for transporting hanging garments, with useful volume of 93-96 cm (110 bars) and 10 trucks of 7.5 tons, with useful volume of 38-40 cm (40 bars). We have 6 minibuses and vans for delivery and collection of merchandise.
For transporting refrigerated goods we have available 50 trailers with a payload of 21,5 tons and adjustable temperatures from -25 to +25 ° C.
HISTORY
1994 : GIRO SRL is founded, company with 100% private capital.
1996 : The company starts transporting hanging garments, particularly in relation to England.
1998 : Acquisition of first new truck, a 7.5 tons, equipped for transport of garments on hangers.
2000 : Acquisition of first new trailer, equipped for transport of garments on hangers
2001 : Headquarters in Alba Iulia, Calea Motilor nr. 117 is inaugurated, which includes service, car wash and parking for ...........our own trucks.
2002 : GIRO becomes one of the top three companies in Romania to transport hanging garments.
2006 : Acquisition of the first 20 temperature controlled trucks.
2008 : A new logistics center is inaugurated in Vintu de Jos, near Alba Iulia, where offices are relocated.
2008 : At the old headquarters in Alba Iulia a auto shop and service is opened, which soon becomes accredites partner in ...........the Bridgestone Truckpoint network.
2015 : The logistics center in Vintu de Jos expands with a new warehouse.
